Hello! I'm Ella Chedburn, an artist from Somerset, UK, blending nature, technology and mysticism.
My art practice has involved creating virtual reality forests, wiring plants to computers, texting trees, projecting into woodland, healing digital problems with herbs, and so much more. These ideas manifest as installations, films, books and prints.
My ideas come from reading scientific findings, theory or folklore, usually found on the internet. I embrace the internet as a hub of fact and fiction. In one tab, I could be reading about the latest biotechnology developments; in another tab: an ancient folklore surrounded by glittering clip art.
This blog is a space to share my creative journey. You can expect snippets of research, wanderings, and blogs of the highs and lows of being an emerging artist.
